At any point, anywhere on your ipod touch, you can captue a screenshot. Just hold down home and power buttons together, a screenshot is taken and the screen flashes. To view it , go to pictures, it is saved under “Saved Photos”.

 

Volume Adjustment

To adjust your volume (very useful on ipod touch 1G), while anywhere except your now playing screen in music, double tap home. The screen dims and volume caontrol pops up. You even have a shortcut to music in it.
